The battle for the King of Germany? We were there, of course, as always. What was going on? On Saturday October 12th, OKTAGON 62 took place in the heart of Frankfurt, at Deutsche Bank Park. With a capacity of over 58 000 spectators and ambitions to challenge the world attendance record, this event made history.
What was it all about?
The main match of the evening pitted two greats against each other - the "Frankfurt King" Eckerlin and the immortal "Kelt" Jungwirth. This clash between two of the strongest talents in German MMA promised suspense and excitement, and both fighters showed why they deserved their position at the top. Each had come long way, and now that this fateful moment was approaching, they were looking to make history.
The next big fight was Patrick Kinceloe's fifth battle for the championship throne. This time he took on Engizek, Germany's best middleweight undefeated for ten years. This battle left a strong impression on the audience as Kincl looked to capture the middleweight title and leave an indelible mark on his career.
And what about strawweight champion Dalisda? She took on Martin, who wanted to avenge Dalisda's narrow loss in 2022 and do everything she could to get to the top.
Fighting for honor and glory
The tournament also saw a successful performance of Pavol Langer, the former interim welterweight champion, who took on the sovereign Fleury. Langer, known for his performances, took on a player who has excelled in organizations such as Bellator and the PFL.
And fans enjoyed the debut of Max "Mad" Coga! Former KSW champion Antun Racic joined him and brought tension and excitement.
We didn't forget our HOTPEPPERS hostesses!
As usual, our HOTPEPPERS hostesses took care of navigating the guests in the VIP zone. Their smiles and professionalism added to the prestige of the tournament and made the spectators feel welcome and comfortable.
Spectacular matches and an unforgettable atmosphere
The tournament also included heavyweight rematch between Bulgarian tank Todev and Palasz, who was intent on getting revenge on the Bulgarian. Fans of young talent came into their own in the clash of "The Namibian Nightmare" Nafuka versus undefeated Razor lightweight Topallaj, which brought excitement as both tried to maintain their records.
OKTAGON 62 went down as a memorable event that offered spectacular battles and a unique atmosphere. If you were not there, enjoy the memories of this historic moment that pushed the benchmarks in MMA!
